Some branches break off

A day to test the top end of the Beaufort Scale – definitely 9, a strong gale (I saw a branch break off).

Being out in today’s weather only has a benefit in being able to remember how horrible it was thinking back from a warm spring day in a few months time. At least the days should be lengthening now.

Along with a dog, type II diabetes is a powerful driver to keep walking – not having a dog my recently diagnosed condition still forces me to walk even when the incentives are few. Stinging rain and, other than an odd wind-driven wood pigeon, nature was hunkered down to ride out the storm.
